Andrew Todd is a 5th year doctoral student in the Social Psychology program, whose research primarily focuses on biases in social perception and judgment. He is specifically interested in how individuals attempt (and are sometimes able) to regulate both implicit and explicit aspects of intergroup bias. In the SPCL, Andy conducts studies looking at: (1) evaluative concerns in anticipated intergroup interactions, (2) race-based biases in selective attention, and (3) the relationship between group-elicited affect and stereotypes.
