Michelle is a postdoctoral fellow and lab manager for the Social Perception and Communication Lab (SPCL). She earned her B.A. in psychology from Northwestern University in 2007. Michelle spent the following two years working in the SPCL before attending graduate school at UC Berkeley, where she earned her Ph.D in 2014. Her research examines how people's group memberships influence their social interactions, educational experiences, and physiological outcomes. She is especially interested in strategies for promoting diversity and inclusion in higher education settings.
