Jessica Beltran is a junior psychology major at Northwestern University. She is particuarly interested in interracial interactions and how they affect individuals' self presentation. Her goal is to learn more about these situations and see just how differently people express racial prejudices. Originally from Downers Grove, Illinois, Jessica recently returned from studying abroad in Australia, where she studied animal conservation and biology. She hopes to pursue a career in veterinary medicine or animal psychology in the future. In her spare time, she volunteers at an animal hospital, promotes cardiac care, misses her Mom's mexican food, and has a secret obsession with Disney movies.
