Kindergarten: State Champs!

1st Grade: State Champs!

3rd Grade: 2nd place! (The winning team is top team in country)

4th Grade: 5th place

(Also many McK alumni on other Wilmette teams: 5th grade Co-Champs! 6th grade 4th place, 8th grade- Champs)

NOTE:   Tournament play is entirely optional, we emphasize FUN, sportsmanship, learning, and team play

Quick glance at upcoming tournaments:

December 20th : Kumbaya Tournament, in Skokie  DEADLINE: Dec 16th

January: Be on the lookout for our Chess Fest for K-1 players, and others new to tournament play;

            Games, puzzles, chess etiquette; Centennial park, Wilmette

January 17th: Kumbaya Tournament, in Skokie

February 7, 2009: Knights of the Forest Tournament, Des Plaines (a great competition among many regional teams)

February 21st: Kumbaya Tournament, in Skokie

March 7th- 8th: Illinois State Tournament!!!                                                                       

     (sections: K-1, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th, etc).

     Bloomington IL.

     This is the one "road trip" for the year - we'll have rooms at a hotel w/ indoor pool, kids have a ball!

Come to some, come to all, or only come for State.
