FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where should I park?

The Infant Cognition Lab has spaces next to our building reserved for research participants only.
A map to our building and to these parking spaces is available.

How long will the study take?

We schedule 30-minute appointments. We take a few minutes to explain the study to you and allow your child to feel comfortable in a new setting. The actual study only takes about ten minutes.

How many times will I have to come to the lab?

Your participation is voluntary at all times. Our studies require only one lab visit. However, many families enjoy their experience in the lab and offer to participate in additional studies.

Can I bring my older child with me?

Yes! When you schedule to come in the lab let us know that you will be bringing the participating child's sibling(s). We have people available to babysit the children while you and your child participate in the study, and we have toys and games available.

What if my child gets fussy during the study?

Ideally babies find our displays fun and entertaining. However, if they get upset we can take breaks or stop at any time.
